Implants are an excellent option to replace a missing tooth. Implant treatment is done over a few dental appointments: Implant surgery then the Implant crown.
During the first appointment, a Dental Implant is placed in the bone where the missing tooth is. The implant is then left for 3-4 months to heal in the bone.
After 3-4 months the Dentist will do a review to make sure the Implant is strong enough to place a dental crown (tooth) on top. If everything is well after taking an x-ray, the Dentist will take an impression which is sent to the dental lab to construct the Implant Crown. Once the crown is back from the lab the dentist will screw the implant crown in place to replace the missing tooth.
